London Flame
Committee
Committee hub
As we build the club and set our values and vision, we're identifying the roles and responsibilities we need and delegating them. Taking on a committee role is a great way to give back and help shape the club.

Pitch booking details
Requirements
Non-negotiable.
- Each flag pitch is 70 × 25 yards, with 5–10 yards of space around each sideline. Two pitches fit very tightly on a 9v9 soccer/rugby field, or three on an 11v11 field. Most game days use 2–3 pitches.
- Astroturf only. Grass is no longer allowed from the 2026–27 season.
- No 2G astroturf (it causes injuries).
- Scheduled on the right weekend from the schedule sheet.
- Must start at or after 10:00 and finish by 18:00.
- Allow 1 hour for arrival and setup before kickoff (this doesn't always need to be in the booking, depending on the pitch), then 1 hr 15 min per game. Games are 40 min plus halftime and usually run longer with penalties. 10–15 min between games lets referees submit scoresheets and players take a break to eat and use the toilets. A 4-game day means 5–6 hours.
Preferred
People will be unhappy otherwise, but we can if we have to.
- Mornings
- Most game days run within 10/11:00–16:00. Afternoon bookings (13:00–18:00) are allowed but mean late, inconvenient travel for other teams.
- Saturdays
- Most game days are Saturdays, and our team prefers them. If nothing is available, the game day can be on the Sunday of that weekend.
Pitches
- Chiswick Rugby Club
- Our home pitch.
- Loughborough College
- Far to travel, but used by many teams and likely free for us to book. The main astro field and the rugby field are both options.
- Brunel University
- Great location for us, with high-quality 4G turf. Usually around £80–100 per hour, with limited availability.
